ONLINE THERAPY

 

If you haven’t tried Telehealth before, you might worry you won’t feel as connected compared to having a session face to face. I’ve been working using Telehealth for some time now and don’t find this to be the case at all, my clients have reported this too. 


Telehealth allows you to have therapeutic sessions in the safety of your own home.

Research spanning over ten years provides evidence that online therapy is just as effective as face-to-face therapy. This has given me confidence in being able to provide the same high quality service online.

  • Flexibility in session time 

  • Saves you petrol and parking money

  • Reduced time waiting for an appointment 

  • More time for yourself since time isn’t taken commuting

  • You can sit in the comfort of your own home, car, garden.

  • You aren’t limited to your specific location

  • Some people find this less intimidating

All you need is: 

  • Reliable internet connection

  • A quiet space where you won’t be interrupted

  • Computer / laptop

Clients report to feel calmer when they're having a session in the familiar surroundings of their home. 

 When clients feel safe (eg because they're in their home), they are calmer and are more emotionally available to benefit from therapy. Polyvagal theory highlights the importance of calming our bodies and minds before we can start to process our emotions and cognitively problem-solve issues.
