ABOUT SHARON
Hello, I’m Sharon Draper.
For the past 11 years, I’ve been working as a Psychologist, aiming to authentically connect with people to help them feel safe and heard.
I believe, if we can gain insight into why we might think, feel and behave a certain way, we can make more sense of our current lives and then, with self-compassion, we can consciously implement positive change.
My approach is holistic and person-centred and I am informed by Existentialism, Neuroscience, Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Science. I utilise evidence-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Neuropsychology and Mindfulness. I believe if we can be kinder to ourselves and understand that our emotions are necessary and provide insight into our deepest values, we can live purposeful and meaningful lives.
I work with adults including employees in the Worker’s compensation system via online therapy.
I am also a regular contributor to Newspaper articles (Sydney Morning Herald), Radio (ABC) and TV (Channel 7 Sunrise), and am the Relationship Expert for eHarmony Australia.
